  14. HREF="filetype.htm">configured</A> to display these file types, it is
  15. used instead.

  17. <P><B>To display a GIF or JPEG image:</B>

  19. <P><LI>Click or enter the URL of an image file, such as this <A
  20. HREF="astrnaut.jpg">example of a JPEG file</A>.
  21. <P><LI>In a document window, choose Open Local from the File menu. Then
  22. type or select the filename of the image file.

  26. <P><B>To save an image file:</B>

  28. <P><LI>In the Image Viewer window, choose Save As from the File menu.
  29. Then type a filename. To save an image in another format, select a
  30. format from the Save File as Type list.
  31. <P><LI>To save an image file (or any other file) directly to your disk
  32. without having Mosaic or a helper application display the image, press
  33. Ctrl and click the link that retrieves the image. Then choose the
  34. Save As button.
  35. <P><LI>You can add the URL of an image to the Hotlist by choosing
  36. Add Current to Hotlist from the Navigate menu.

  42. clipboard.
